WHAT IS YOUR DISCIPLINE POLICY?
When a problem arises, we will patiently redirect the child in a positive tone to do right and encourage the child to correct their behavior.
If the misconduct is repeated, the incident will be reported to their parents to assure the safety of the child and their classmates.
Committing an act that endangers themselves or others in the facility, such as biting, fighting, destruction of property, using inappropriate language, dangerously abusing equipment or toys, etc will result in the following response:
The Director will hold a conference with the parent(s). The child may be suspended or expelled from the facility. If suspended and the misconduct is repeated, the child will lose their spot at the center.
Playcare's methods of discipline practices will not include the use of spanking or other forms of physical punishment, nor shall they be associated with food, rest, and/or toileting. Discipline methods are age appropriate and constructive.

do you offer financial aide?
Playcare participates in several state programs that offer referrals and financial aide to qualifying low-income families. Please see below for information on these programs.
Resources and Referrals
Florida’s Child Care Resource and Referral Network or CCR&R helps families locate quality child care and early education programs. Trained specialists offer information about local child care options and develop customized lists of child care providers based on each family’s specific child care needs. Financial assistance strategies and referrals to other community resources and programs are also available. Click HERE for more information.
School Readiness
Florida’s School Readiness Program or SR offers financial assistance to eligible low-income families for early education and care so they can become financially self-sufficient and their young children can be successful in school in the future. Services vary based on individual needs and range from extended day care to after-school and school-age care in some instances. Click HERE to apply.
Voluntary Prekindergarten
Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program or VPK is a free educational program that prepares 4-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond. Children must live in Florida and be 4 on or before September 1 of the school year they enroll. Parents can choose from private child care centers or public schools and school-year or summer programs. Parents of 4-year-olds with special needs have an option outside the classroom setting ‒ VPK Specialized Instructional Services (VPK-SIS). Click HERE to apply.
