Weekly favorites: by popular demand we offer the kid's favorite activities every week!
Monday: Sports day - compete in outdoor and indoor (Wii Sports) competitions and win prizes!
Wednesday: Movie Day - enjoy a movie and popcorn on our 60" screen!
Friday: Water Day - play wet and wild games and navigate the obstacle course in a day of outdoor fun.
(Days may change or be cancelled due to weather.)
May 31st - June 3rd: Summer Kick-Off!
Every day is water day! Enjoy a variety of wet fun on our playground, engage in creative summer themed activities, and enjoy a "beach party" with unique outdoor games and a picnic lunch.
June 6th - June 10th: Nature Week!
This week's theme is designed to teach kids about nature and protecting the environment. Themed activities, designed to teach the importance of caring for our environment, include the three R's (reduce, reuse, and recycle), finding and identifying a variety of plant and animal life around the center and planting a container garden.
June 13th - June 17th: Wacky Week!
This week is one of the kids' favorites! Each day will have a different theme, and bring new and wacky activities that get wackier as the week progresses, including silly games and face painting. Monday: Crazy sock/shoe day. Tuesday: Crazy hat/hair day. Wednesday: Pajama day. Thursday: Dress-up day (dress and act like your favorite super-hero, cartoon character or storybook character). Friday: Tie-dye a wacky t-shirt (please provide a plain white t-shirt).
June 20th - June 24th: Camping Week!
Sing camp songs, build a tent and tell stories around our own pretend camp fire. This week's activities will include lots of fun, camping themed art projects and great outdoor learning activities. Learning activities this week include basic first aid skills, poisonous plants and animals, simple knot tying, and a variety of fun "camping hacks."
June 27th - July 1st: Cooking Week!
This week's activities are designed to teach your children how to have fun in the kitchen making meals. Through a variety of activities, they will learn about setting the table, proper table manners and how much fun making meals can be. They will also have the opportunity to help in the kitchen while making baked goods for this week's snacks.
July 4th - July 8th: Independence Week!
This week includes arts and crafts, games, and other activities to celebrate America's Independence. Children will also have an opportunity to interact with the real life heroes in our neighborhood, tour the Fire Station and visit with Citrus County Sheriff Deputies.
July 11th - July 15th: Game Week!
Compete in fun games all week! This week's activities include a jam pack schedule of gaming fun, including a mix of both indoor and outdoor games. Outdoor Twister, Bowling, Wii Sports, Wii Just Dance, Basketball, Cornhole, Bingo, Wiffleball, Board Games, Traditional Teamwork Games, a Color Run on our Obstacle Course, and many, many more!
July 18th - July 22nd: Playcare's Got Talent Week 1
Over the next three weeks, our "Playcare's Got Talent Program," begins a gradual transformation into a more structured day to help get the children ready for their return to school. During these three weeks, the children will learn a play that will be performed for their parents on Friday, August 5th, our dinner and a show night. More information will be available when enrollment and plans are confirmed.
July 25th - July 29th: Playcare's Got Talent Week 2
Week 2 of our three week "Playcare's Got Talent Program."
August 1st - August 5th: Playcare's Got Talent Week 3
Week 3 of our three week "Playcare's Got Talent Program." Parents, make sure you free your evening this Friday for an amazing dinner and show presented by your kids!!
